What are the structural types of roll forming machines

1. Cantilevered roll forming machine

This device structure can limit the width of the formed strip to near the length of the cantilever axis. It is not suitable to use this method to compress products with thin profiles or products with only one side formed due to the width of the board. For products with the most compressed profiles, this method is not suitable because only one side is subjected to force.

2. Double ended roll forming machine.

This structure is installed with two cantilevers on both sides of the strip, and the width can be freely adjusted inward and outward. At the same time, products of any width can be formed within a limited width.

Some factors that should be considered during design, such as:

A: The maximum length of the rolling mill is limited and needs to be controlled within a certain range.

B: When pressing thick sheets, the rolling roller shaft is prone to bending

C: Under the influence of pressure, the sheet metal that needs to be formed generally cannot be located at the center of the sheet metal.

D: When forming a board that is too wide, support points are usually needed at the top and bottom.

E: When forming short boards, it is generally necessary to add equipment for guidance

F: In order to adapt to different widths of sheet metal forming, the equipment on the upper and lower axes should be easy to install, disassemble, and adjust.

3. Through axis dual end roll forming machine

The axis deflection of the through axis roll forming machine is smaller than that of the same specification cantilever machine. On this roll forming machine, the rollers are fixed on the frames on both sides.

4. Standard roll forming machine

This type of equipment is supported by bearings on both sides, which are fixed to the side plate.
